Eric van Holm
Eric van Holm is an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department and a Research Associate at the Urban Entrepreneurship and Policy Institute. Van Holm received his PhD in Public Policy from Georgia State University and the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to joining the University of New Orleans, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher for the Center in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy Studies at Arizona State University. His research focuses on economic development, particularly as it relates to entrepreneurship and urban change in small and midsized cities. His research on civic engagement, gentrification, and economic development has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including The American Review of Public Administration, Urban Affairs Review, Cities, Economic Development Quarterly, and Urban Studies, and in the popular press. Van Holm teaches courses on social entrepreneurship, data analysis and public policy, and methods.
